FDNY Promotion Ceremony Celebrates Leadership and Excellence in Brooklyn

A promotion ceremony was held on Thursday in Brooklyn for members of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). Sixty-three Paramedics, 46 Lieutenants, two Captains, and one Division Chief were all promoted.

Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh emphasized the importance of leadership in the department, stating that the promoted individuals would serve as role models and mentors to others. Acting Chief of Department John Esposito highlighted that with the new ranks come increased responsibility as decision-makers and team leaders.

Chief of EMS Operations Michael Fields praised the qualities of integrity, intellect, compassion, and resilience exhibited by the promoted members, stating that they are positioned to positively shape the future of FDNY EMS. Congratulations were extended to all those promoted in the ceremony.
