**Bridge Street Widening Update**

The City of Brighton, Colorado, has announced ongoing updates regarding the Bridge Street widening project, as of September 13, 2024.

Work hours are set from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Crews are focusing on permanent traffic realignments along Bridge Street between 22nd and 42nd Avenue, primarily on the south side of the roadway. There will be designated turn areas to ensure access for local businesses, although some temporary restrictions may occur during the construction period. At least one entry point will remain available for all businesses and residents along Bridge Street throughout the project.

As of September 12, Telluride Street is scheduled to reopen for public use. Drivers are encouraged to follow established detours until the intersection is fully operational.

The entrance to Eastgate Village from Village Garden Drive is anticipated to reopen on September 13. On September 12, paving operations will take place from Firehouse Road to the Brighton Lateral Ditch, which may result in temporary traffic holds on Bridge Street. However, at least one access point to Eastgate Village will be maintained at all times.

The west access point to the 27J HR building has been closed. Visitors should use the eastern driveway off of Bridge Street for access.

Additional localized closures may occur in the project area for utility work. Westbound drivers on Bridge Street will not be able to make left turns onto 27th Avenue and should use 22nd Avenue for left-hand turns.

Speed limits have been reduced in the construction zone, and extra traffic enforcement is in place to ensure the safety of both workers and drivers. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, slow down, and provide ample space between vehicles when navigating through construction zones.

The project team appreciates the community's patience and cooperation as work continues. All timelines are subject to change due to weather or material availability.
