**Greeley Police Department Makes Arrest in Major Drug Bust**

GREELEY, Colo. – In early 2024, the Weld County Drug Task Force (WCDTF) received information about 45-year-old Jade Mikel Shane allegedly selling large quantities of illegal drugs from his home in Weld County.

On September 5, 2024, the SWAT teams from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office and the Greeley Police Department secured Shane’s residence located in the 3200 block of 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado. The operation was carried out without incident.

Subsequently, WCDTF executed a search warrant at Shane's home. The search revealed significant amounts of narcotics and multiple firearms. The items discovered included:

- Over half a pound of Methamphetamine

- Approximately 1,440 counterfeit M-30 pills suspected of containing fentanyl

- Approximately 16.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms

- 12 firearms, including one firearm that had been reported stolen from Greeley

Shane was arrested and booked into the Weld County jail, facing charges as a Special Offender along with two narcotic-related charges.

Shane has a history of convictions, including felony narcotic charges dating back to 2013. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison for three charges: possession of 2 grams or less of Methamphetamine, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and possession with intent to distribute. He served approximately 7 years and was on parole for about a year and a half before the current charges arose.
