Adams Wins Manilow Music Teacher Award in Texas

Bruce Adams, the band director at Sam Houston High School in San Antonio, Texas, has received the Manilow Music Teacher Award. This award was revealed in the spring by the Manilow Music Project, which selects a high school music teacher in each city of Barry Manilow's summer tour through community votes. As the winner, Adams received $5,000 in new band instruments for the Sam Houston music program and another $5,000 to spend at his discretion. Adams expressed gratitude for the support from his community and friends, acknowledging that the funds will help advance students' education by enabling the purchase of necessary items. He met Barry Manilow during a concert on August 30.
