Veteran Completes Arborist Training for Career Transition

Beverly Stroud, a U.S. Navy veteran, successfully completed the Utility Line Clearance Arborist Training on May 16, 2021. The free course was offered by the San Diego College of Continuing Education Foundation’s Employee Training Institute, which aims to assist military members in their transition to civilian careers.
At 28 years old, Stroud expressed her desire to remain in San Diego after leaving the military. She highlighted the importance of finding a growth opportunity, emphasizing that it was essential to avoid a "sink or swim situation" in her new career path.
