On November 5, a millage referendum aimed at providing funds for Sarasota County's school district received strong support from voters. The measure passed with 84.06% of the public voting in favor, marking the highest approval rate for such a referendum in the state of Florida. This approval will help secure additional funding for local schools in the district.
