On Tuesday, November 12, the Wicomico County Board of Education recognized the recipients of October's Extra Mile Award during their latest meeting. The award honors employees who have exceeded their normal duties throughout the month.

The recipients include:

- Eric Jenkins, Building Service Manager at Pinehurst Elementary

- Samantha Hicks, Long-time Substitute at Pemberton Elementary

- DFC Shane Webster, School Resource Officer at Parkside High

The school district encourages the community to express appreciation to these individuals for their contributions to students and staff at Wicomico County Public Schools.
