Leah Coloff reflects on Grammy win and musical evolution.

by Valencia Perez / nyclocal.org

Leah Coloff, a musician with a Grammy Award for Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album in 2024, expressed her feelings about her musical journey. Despite her success, she revealed that playing classical cello never felt like the perfect fit for her. Coloff shared that she is part of a collaborative program with a group of fellow artists who aim to explore more personal and unique artistic expressions. The Grammy-winning album, "So She Howls," was a result of the collaboration between Coloff, the Scorchio String Quartet, the vocal group Tonality, and composer Carla Patullo.
