The City of North Port has announced that five members of the North Port Fire Rescue team have recently achieved a significant career milestone by earning their Engineer certification or completing their recertification.

The newly promoted Engineers are:

- Jonathan Forman

- Tyler Griffith

- David Truran

- Jamie Trumble

- Andrew Dima

To reach this achievement, these firefighters underwent a year of extensive study and hands-on training. Their training included topics such as water supply tactics, apparatus maintenance, and hydraulic engineering. They successfully passed both a written and a practical exam.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Engineer program at North Port Fire Rescue. The department expressed pride in the accomplishments of the team and appreciation for their commitment to excellence.
