100th Graduate Celebrated in Housing Career Program

Staff Report / nyclocal.org

Brooklyn Workforce Innovations in Brooklyn, NY, celebrated the graduation of its 100th participant from the Housing Career Pathways program. The milestone was marked with a ceremony honoring recent graduates, alumni, and partners.

The program’s seventh cohort completed four weeks of full-time training focused on the affordable housing industry, digital skills, and job readiness. Graduates also participated in an 80-hour paid internship to further prepare them for careers in this field.

Since the program's inception in 2022, over 30 affordable housing property management firms and employers have engaged with the program, hosting interns or hiring graduates.

Brooklyn Workforce Innovations thanked Enterprise Community Partners, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) for their support and partnership, and congratulated all the graduates on their achievements.
