The Wolfe Institute for the Humanities at Brooklyn College will host the 2024 Samuel J. Konefsky Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, October 16, at 2:15 p.m. The lecture, titled "Understanding Latinx Anti-Blackness Through the Lens of Equality Law," will be presented by Professor Tanya Katerí Hernández, who is the Archibald R. Murray Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law and the associate director of its Center on Race, Law and Justice.

During the lecture, Professor Hernández will discuss themes from her book "Racial Innocence: Unmasking Latino Anti-Black Bias and the Struggle for Equality." Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free copies of the book.

The event will take place in the Woody Tanger Auditorium at the Brooklyn College Library.
