Brooklyn Library Hosts Great American Smokeout Event

The Brooklyn Public Library is hosting The Great American Smokeout Resource Fair and Film Screening on Wednesday, November 20, from 2 PM to 6 PM. This event, organized in collaboration with NYC Smoke-Free, aims to promote smoking cessation and lung health.
Attendees will have access to information on programs, services, and referrals from community partners focusing on living a smoke-free lifestyle. The event will feature a screening of the short documentary "Black Lives/Black Lungs," which explores the origins of menthol cigarettes and the tobacco industry's targeting of Black communities. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
