Wake County Schools Honor Veterans on Veterans Day

The Wake County Public School System in Apex, North Carolina, is set to honor veterans on Veterans Day. Several high schools in the area have active Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs, led by veterans who have dedicated their lives to service.
Last week, Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor participated in the Meet Your Army Day at Ft. Liberty alongside JROTC students. This annual event functions as a hands-on career fair, showcasing various career opportunities available within the military. During the event, students engaged with soldiers, took part in training exercises, and toured military vehicles. The Wake County Public School System expresses gratitude to those who facilitate such educational experiences for students.
