More than 100 students and mentors from Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) participated in the Fall 2024 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Challenge for Social Good held on November 1 and 2 at Fiterman Hall. The event took place in the 13th floor conference rooms and was organized by Computer Information Systems Professor Dr. Mohammad Azhar. This large-scale experiential learning opportunity encourages students to collaborate in teams to develop projects that utilize AI to tackle social challenges at BMCC and in the broader community. Dr. Azhar highlighted the importance of preparing students for future roles where AI will significantly impact various careers.
