North Port Police Department responded to a disturbance at North Port High School at around 4 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. Multiple individuals were involved in the incident. Officers from North Port PD and Sarasota Schools PD responded promptly and stopped a vehicle trying to leave the area. Initial reports suggested one person might have had a gun, however, no gun was found. All students are unharmed, and the authorities have clarified that this was an isolated incident. The investigation is being led by the Sarasota County Schools PD.
