Mountain Biker Rescued After Heat Exhaustion Incident

Scottsdale Fire Department officials report that technical rescue teams assisted a mountain biker who was experiencing heat exhaustion on a local trail. The rescue took place after the biker had been on the trail for over three hours in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rescue crews hiked three miles into the trail to reach the patient, who was subsequently transported off the mountain using a UTV. The department emphasizes the importance of preparation when engaging in outdoor activities during extreme heat.
