Nominate Veterans for Scottsdale Salutes Program Now

Staff Report / Scottsdalelocal.org

Scottsdale is inviting residents to nominate local veterans and military service members for the Scottsdale Salutes program. The program, which takes place in November, honors individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

As part of the program, light pole banners featuring selected veterans and service members will be displayed in Old Town for two weeks. Eligibility for nominations has expanded this year to include veterans, active-duty service members, and members of the National Guard and reserves who live in Scottsdale or have significant ties to the community, including those who have worked in Scottsdale for at least five years.

Nominations can be submitted until Friday, September 27. To participate, residents can visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search for "Scottsdale Salutes." Those chosen for the program will be recognized at a special community reception in November.
