Driver Arrested with Fentanyl, Cash, and Firearm

Staff Report / Tucsonlocal.org

On August, Tucson Police Officers were conducting a robbery investigation at a gas station located in the 1400 block of S. Alvernon Way. During this time, a community member alerted an officer about a driver who appeared to be passed out in the parking lot.

The officer subsequently approached the driver, identified as 43-year-old Dustian Marsh, and detained him upon discovering that he had an active felony warrant for his arrest.

A search of Marsh's vehicle revealed over 900 fentanyl pills, a loaded pistol, and nearly $5,000 in cash. As a result, he was charged with Narcotic Sales, Possession of a Firearm During a Narcotic Offense, and being a Prohibited Possessor.

The Tucson Police Department expressed gratitude towards the community members for their assistance.
